I've been writing on Medium consistently for about two years now. My goal was never to go viral or accumulate a bunch of followers, I just wanted a platform to work on my craft and occasionally have like-minded individuals stumble upon my work.

I thought Medium was perfect for this.

My heart sunk this morning when I got an email saying I may lose my Partner Program membership because I don't have 100 followers. I've been a huge fan of this platform since joining, but now Medium's telling me I'm not popular enough to be a part of their program anymore.

After putting in countless hours on this platform, I'm a little heartbroken by these changes and I'm starting to second guess myself.
